Don Allen

Don has been working as an actor and director for more than 25 years.  He has appeared on TV in: The Bill, 2point4 children, Back up! and alongside “Hyacinth Bucket” (played by legendary actress Dame Patricia Routledge) in Keeping Up Appearances to name just a few. He has completed number one theatre tours across the UK and Europe and he played the lead in a USA tour of Ajax directed by Peter Meineck.

Don has directed two feature films – K, starring Colin Salmon and Tamer Hassan and Three Minute Moments starring Belinda Lang. Don also co-directed a multimedia project with Palme d’Or winner, Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

He has also devised, produced and directed numerous short-form shows such as PERSONA, the world’s first soap-opera exclusively for smartphones; along with other shows The Luxeology Show, That’s Burlesque and 3minPeople.

He is also a broadcaster, hosting a radio programme on the jazzKultura station, and his shows can be heard here: “The Theatre Show!

He has worked with young people for most of his professional career and he was able to share his passion regarding working with young people with a Tedx talk he was invited to deliver: Don Allen – Tedx.

Don is the artistic director and founder of the ETTC – a professional touring theatre company based in Poland. He has been responsible for developing and improving all of the actors he has worked with and, along with being invited to perform in a theatre festival in Egypt, one of his actors won a “Best Actor” award.
